SAUK BASKETBALL HONORS, REGIONAL PLAY BEGINS

Congratulations go out to a trio of Sauk Valley Community College basketball players who earn All Region honor for NJCAA Region IV.  Shian Galbreath (Sophomore, Beloit) and Noelle Jones (Freshman, Amboy) from the women’s team were chosen as members of the All-Region squad by the Region IV coaches.  Andrew Morrissey (Sophomore, Winnebago) from the men’s team also earned the distinction for his play.

The Skyhawks enter Regional play today with the men’s team facing Malcolm X at 3PM in Joliet at Joliet Junior College.  Should the men’s team win, they will advance to the second round to be played at Joliet on Saturday, February 29th at 5PM.  The women’s team is set to play Kennedy King at 2PM on Saturday, February 29th at Joliet.
